Hardwood is the Best Material for LCD TV Stands

Variety is the spice of life, they say, and this holds true even for something mundane like an LCD TV stand. Because there’s a whole world of available models out there, it’s never impossible to find a unit that is perfect for your needs.

Yet this huge amount of variety can be seen as a burden. This is because it makes it harder to find the perfect LCD TV stand. With choices to make for style, material, and size, one can easily become confused. This can lead to bad decisions.

The material that an LCD TV stand is made out of is one of the primary aspects of the piece of furniture that defines its functionality and looks. There are many different materials used today, including engineered wood, metal, glass, and hardwood.

Hardwood makes the best material for an LCD TV stand of any particular style. Most people agree that hardwood stands of any design rank among some of the best pieces of furniture built for this purpose. If you want quality, you want hardwood.

What makes a hardwood LCD TV stand so great can be summed up in one word – dependability. Hardwood materials are exceptionally sturdy and strong. These stands are built to last for a lifetime, meaning that you’ll be able to enjoy them for years to come.

If your LCD television set is one of the larger ones, it’s definitely going to weigh a lot. This means that you need a stand that won’t buckle under the continual pressure. Hardwood is ideal for this kind of a television set since it has good physical properties.

Another great aspect of hardwood is that it’s entirely organic. The specific pattern of grains is unique to your particular stand. This helps a hardwood LCD TV stand make its mark as a truly special piece of furniture and raises its aesthetic appeal.

If dependability and longevity in furniture are important to you, there’s no reason to settle for anything short of a hardwood LCD TV stand. This material can withstand the pressures and stresses of the years, looking and functioning great for a long time.

The Samsung LN46B650 Review

Introducing the new Samsung LN46B650! This brand new state of the art HDTV has everything you could ask for plus more in my opinion. With 1080p High Definition Resolution providing great picture quality, combined with razor sharp 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio the images are excellent. Also inluded is Samsung’s ‘Wide Color Enhancer 3 Technology’ which renders the colors more naturally, giving you a more realistic feel for whatever you’re watching.

Avoiding the common LCD problems easily, such as image judder and motion blur, this Samsung model is equipped with a number of special features to reduce these problems when displaying fast movement.

To ensure crisp, sharp images, this model has a super fast 4 millisecond response time. This, combined with Samsung’s ‘Auto Motion Plus’ frame interpolation technology (which has a 120Hz refresh rate) makes viewing sports, video games and action scenes realistic and easy.

One of my favourite features of this TV is that it has what is called ‘Internet@TV’. This means that you can access content from Yahoo!, YouTube, Flickr and more via your remote control! How Cool is that! It uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection (your choice of course) to connect to the net and away you go!

You will be able to browse content and information at your leisure quickly and easily with the help of a special widget and scrollbar at the bottom of your TV screen.

Also included is a 2GB flash memory for your own entertainment, which comes with pre- loaded features which you can update, or change completely buy downloading new or updated programs from Samsung’s website via your Ethernet connection.

Another cool feature of the LN46B650 is that you can play your MP3s and display JPEG/MPEG files on it. Which means you could be checking out your digital photo albums while listening to your Ipod through the 15-watt bottom stereo speaker and the subwoofer. It has 2 USB ports and four HDMI 1.3 ports for connection.

The final and probably one of the most obvious qualities about this model is the ‘Touch of Color’ design it has. Samsung has given this TV a touch of red translucent color around the edges which looks very cool in my opinion. This TV is also Energy Star Compliant, so you’ll be saving lots of money on electricity bills also!
