Rat Troubles? Control Them The Green Way

by Paul Regis

Ok we’ve all encountered rodent problems before. I also know what a drag it can be killing these little pests. Not to mention the fact that spraying poison all over your health can’t be good for your health, or our planet for that matter. If these things concern you, but you still need a solution for rat control, you’re in luck!

Throw away those old traps! Get rid of the poison! First off, traps don’t just catch rats, other small animals can be hurt. Poison is a bad choice for two reasons. First death by poison is slow and horribly painful to the rats. Secondly, if a rat predator happens to get to the carcass before you, and eats the poisoned rat, the other animal gets killed too. Who wants the karma of killing things anyway?

No killing, and no harming the planet. We’ve established we’re all for it. It’s a good thing there are green solutions to our rat problems. Repellents. All natural rat repellents. They are non toxic and non invasive to humans. The rats cant stand the way they smell. It’s a win-win! No harsh gross chemicals to make you, your family and your co-workers sick, and the rats stay away to live healthy happy lives, outside where they belong!

It’s true that there are other options for rat control. Many people use exterminators, and some use humane traps to catch these rodents. Extermination can leave dead animals in or near your home or business, though, and humane traps leave the question of what to do with the rat once it’s caught. If you let it go too near your home, it’s only going to find its way back.

You should also do what you can to discourage rats from coming near your property. Don’t leave food out or leave your garbage cans full and open to the elements. Make sure that you keep bird feeders and compost piles away from other areas where rats could live and breed.

100 years from now, your great grand children will be born into a less polluted world. If we all take steps now to stop using harmful chemicals. To stop killing pests. Being an environmentalist doesn’t mean you have to put up with pests in your home or office. Just think twice before using poisons. Repellents are all natural and do the trick humanely. Keep our water chem-free. Use natural repellents.

True rat control comes from humanely disposing of the rats that you already have and keeping new rats from thinking your home or business is a good place to be. If they don’t find shelter and food there, they won’t hang around. Using all-natural rat repellents can help to ensure that they go elsewhere to look for their next meal and that they don’t make their nests where they aren’t wanted.
