Please stand up. Please stand up. Every hero needs his sidekick, just like every President needs a VP. But Mitt Romney is his own sidekick, seemingly a different person every day, offering views and visions for America that are often at odds with words he spoke years, months or even days ago. Psychologists call this bi-polar; sociologists call this politics. In Massachusetts Romney governed as a liberal (even by New England standards). He was critical of the war, supportive of gay marriage and supportive of a woman’s right to abortion. But Romney became a new man somewhere along the ‘08 campaign trail, abandoning the leftist platform that got him elected Governor. And now he’s asking the public to forget his four years of service and name him the next President of the United States. But speaking of heroes, Romney’s persona most resembles Batman’s Two-Face. And while I am no comic book reader I can infer, based on the mug shot above, that Two-Face is the villain. If you cast your vote for Romney, ask yourselves which Mitt you’re voting for.
Will the Real Mitt Shady Please Stand Up…

Why is it when John Kerry had several heartfelt epiphanies over the years and changed his mind on issues his supporters said because he was such an intelligent and well bread member of society (even thought at one point he lived in his car when he reached a dry spell of weird rich ladies he could leach on) he was aloud and had a right to his nuanced positions?
When Mitt Romney, as a Mormon, believed it wasn’t right to push his faith on other people, decided later on that he would voice his opinion on some key issues, he was deemed a flip flopper. Even if you don’t buy this reasoning, is it a crime to change your mind? Does one believe everything they did when they were 9 ,18,or 21. I think not. It would be one thing if he had teeter-tottered on major ideology back and forth for years, but Mr. Romey has had only one major shift in all the years he has been closely scrutinized by the Boston press( who piratically stole his laundry so they could inspect his shirts for ring around the collar and any other dirt they could find) and other media members and I think he is owed the benefit of the doubt.

GIVE ME A BREAK…the media put Kerry under as much, if not much more, scrutiny over the consistency of his political platforms. At least Kerry’s contrasting views still fell under liberal ideology. Mitt went from far left to far right overnight…just as quickly as his campaign for the presidency fizzled

Right-wing conservatives have a nice way of saying that my partner and I (we are a legally married gay couple in Massachusetts) who own a home, pay taxes, contibute to the economy, work in human services (education and medicine), belong to a church, work in a local mission, and support our friends and families don’t deserve the respect that we have worked for. However, the 13 year-old mothers that live off of welfare in our city (which we pay for) can get legally married in this country and get the support of people like Mitt. Hard work means nothing to these candidates, just your ability to mirror their lives. God bless America.
